After wandering through the forest for hours, Snow White discovers a tiny cottage belonging to a group of seven dwarfs, who work in nearby mines. It turns out the cottage belongs to the 7 adult dwarfs, named Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy and Dopey. Miners make her part of the household.   The film is the first to have a musical soundtrack, with favorites like “Whistle While You Work,” “Someday My Prince Will Come,” and the dwarfs sing “Heigh Ho” (It’s Off To Work We Go,) and dance and play instruments. The film has been translated into endless languages and loved around the world. The story offers endless fun. Vintage World War 2 These Colors Will Not Run Silk Flag Banner 8 x 10 inches

World War 2 represented the United States effort to defeat the Axis powers (Germany and Japan were major players.) Germany wreaked havoc in Europe. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. The world was overwhelmingly threatened. The United States offered their greatest military effort of all time. The war started in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. It ended December 1945 when the Axis formally surrendered. The nation’s industries were mobilized to supply and enable the American Armed Forces, Naval and Air Forces.   16 million Americans served in the U.S. Armed Forces. More than 400,000 were killed in action and near 700,000 were wounded. Today the war would have cost the U.S. $4.5 trillion. Civilians on the Home Front were a huge moral foundation serving the troops 24/7.To show support the Home Front hung flags and banners in their windows. Some displayed 1, 2 or 3 stars indicating how many in the family were serving. Other flags and banners displayed patriotic messages.   In response to clients requesting vintage patriotic treasures, My Forever Treasures has the perfect gift. A “These Colors Will Not Run” World War 2 Home Front winner. The Holy Grail of patriotic messages “These Colors Will Not Run,” flag/banner framed […]

Vintage Herman Munster Remco 1964 Munsters Family Figure

The Munsters is an American sitcom depicting the home life of a family of benign monsters. Herman is the head-of-the-household. He is a Frankenstein monster type. In 1965 the show was nominated for a Golden Globe. The series was a satire of both traditional monster movies and the wholesome family fare of the era… It was produced by those who created “Leave It To Beaver.” It ran concurrently w. the similar macabre themed “The Addams Family,” but fared much better in the ratings.   Instead of animation, a live version proved to be the ideal novel formula. The characters would be supernatural creatures. The show followed the familiar family sitcom formula of the era. The well meaning father, the nurturing mother, the eccentric well meaning relative, the naive teenager and the precocious child. The series offered customized monster possessions, such as a dragster made out of a coffin. The monster/normal life theme was so popular, it’s still loved today, by children and adults more than 50 years later.   Herman Munster’s Frankenstein look and demeanor became the show’s fan favorite. My Forever Treasures is wide eyed, as we share our first vintage monster prize. The figure stands 6.25″ x 1.75″ x […]

Vintage Kurt Vonnegut Hand Signed Photo

Kurt Vonnegut was an American writer who’s career spanned over 50 years. He published 14 novels, 3 short story collections, 5 plays and 5 works of non-fiction, with further collections being published after his death. He is most famous for his darkly satirical best selling novel “Slaughterhouse-Five.”(1969) Vonnegut was a vocal critic of the society in which he lived and this was reflected in his writings. Several key social themes recur in Vonnegut’s works, such as wealth, lack of it, and it’s unequal distribution among society.   A conscious fear of loss of one’s purpose in life, is among the themes of his works. (Cat’s Cradle” and “Breakfast of Champions.”) His famous quote, “We are what we pretend to be.” “So we must be careful about what we pretend to be.” At his death, he was hailed as a morbidly comical commentator on the society in which he lived and as one of the most important contemporary writers of his generation.   My Forever Treasures is pleased to offer our literary fans, a hand signed Kurt Vonnegut photo. It’s directly from our literary icon eye candy vault. Framed on your wall, this treasure will be the envy of everyone. Pamper […]
