Vintage The Jacksons Publicity Photo

The Jacksons are a group founded by their father Joe Jackson in 1965. As The Jackson 5, they consisted of Michael, Marlon, and older brothers Jackie, Tito and Jermaine. In 1968 they signed with Motown, and were the first group to debut with four consecutive number one hits, with the songs “I Want You Back,” “A.B.C.,” “The Love You Save” and “I’ll Be There.” 3 of these songs have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They also achieved 16 top 40 hits.   In 1976 Jermaine was replaced by Randy. They’ve sold more than 100 records world-wide. They performed as the Jacksons from 1976-1981, winning a Best Vocal Group Award as well. The success of their four Jackson 5 Albums had them replacing The Supremes as Motown’s Best-Selling Group.   Next they all released solo albums. Michael Jackson became the ultimate solo superstar. He released three record shattering albums. “Off the Wall,” “Triumph” and “THRILLER.” “Thriller” went on to become the best-selling album of all time. The albums # 1 hit songs “Beat It” and “Billie Jean” were pop anthems. Michael became the ultimate POP STAR. Thank you Joe Jackson and all the fans. Amen.   […]

Vintage Kurt Vonnegut Hand Signed Photo

Kurt Vonnegut was an American writer who’s career spanned over 50 years. He published 14 novels, 3 short story collections, 5 plays and 5 works of non-fiction, with further collections being published after his death. He is most famous for his darkly satirical best selling novel “Slaughterhouse-Five.”(1969) Vonnegut was a vocal critic of the society in which he lived and this was reflected in his writings. Several key social themes recur in Vonnegut’s works, such as wealth, lack of it, and it’s unequal distribution among society.   A conscious fear of loss of one’s purpose in life, is among the themes of his works. (Cat’s Cradle” and “Breakfast of Champions.”) His famous quote, “We are what we pretend to be.” “So we must be careful about what we pretend to be.” At his death, he was hailed as a morbidly comical commentator on the society in which he lived and as one of the most important contemporary writers of his generation.   My Forever Treasures is pleased to offer our literary fans, a hand signed Kurt Vonnegut photo. It’s directly from our literary icon eye candy vault. Framed on your wall, this treasure will be the envy of everyone. Pamper […]

Vintage Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine Dual Signed “You Gotta Stay Happy” 1948 Studio Publicity Photo

“You Gotta Stay Happy,’ is a 1948 American Romantic Comedy, starring Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine. This movie stars 2 Golden Age of Hollywood Superstars. Both Stewart and Fontaine won early 1940’s Best Actor and Best Actress Academy Awards. Our clients have requested something special, from this magical cinema period. “You Gotta Stay Happy, is an especially wacky romantic comedy. There’s a screwball quality, and physical humor offering a sentimental mismatched love story. Joan Fontaine, is a wealthy heiress. She’s trying to escape a hasty 6th engagement turned into marriage. The night of her New York hotel honeymoon, she escapes to Stewart’s adjoining room. Jimmy saves the day. But, there are embezzlers, a cigar-smoking chimpanzee, a sleeping pill and enough twists and comical turns to have you guessing how this romp will end. It will end with our dual signed vintage Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine autographed “You Gotta Stay Happy” treasure, framed on your wall.   My Forever Treasures offers this Golden Age of Hollywood autographed prize as Vintage Eye Candy. Vintage Sonny and Cher Wild On The Beach Lobby Card 1965

“Wild On The Beach” 1965, was a beach party movie notable for the music acts showcased on screen. Especially, the film debut of Sonny and Cher. They played themselves and received fourth billing. “Wild On The Beach” promised 11 Big Beat Songs and the fun that’s certain when guys and gals rent the same beach house. Backed by the group The Astronauts, Sonny and Cher sang “It’s Gonna Rain,” written by Sonny. This was producer/director Maury Dexter’s 3rd teen flick & 2nd effort to imitate AIP’s “Beach Party” Formula. A rare black & white teen film.   The movie was promoted as a standard beach party film with posters showing girls in bikinis & a title song with lyrics about “two steps down to the nearest wave.” However, no one in the cast actually wore swimsuits nor did they do anything but walk fully clothed on the beach. The only surfing was a few random inserts of extras on surfboards. Backed by the Astronauts Sonny & Cher sang his original but forgettable “It’s Gonna Rain.” All the songs are regrettable including the Astronauts “Pyramid Stomp.”   With too much plot and nothing resolved. Even, lovable Sonny and Cher probably wish they […]

Vintage Frank Capra Autographed Studio Publicity Photo

Frank Capra was an Italian-American film director, producer and screenwriter who became the creative force behind some of the major award winning motion pictures of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Nominated for 6 Best Director Oscars and winning 3 in just a 5 year span, separate Capra from the rest. Frank Capra’s Best Director Academy Awards for “It Happened One Night,”1934 “Mr. Deeds Goes To Town,”1936 and “You Can’t Take It With You,”1938 are just indications of his brilliance. He claimed “I made some mistakes with drama.” “I thought drama was when the actor cried.” “Drama is when the audience cries!” A Lifetime Achievement Oscar shows Frank figured it out.   Capra wanted his films “to let every man, woman and child know that God loves them, that I love them and that peace and salvation will become a reality when they learn to love each other.” The messages he conveyed to his audience of “everyman” heroes triumphing over mercenary big business and big government have his classics resonate more than 80 years later. His 1934 first Best Director Oscar for “It Happened One Night,” was also the first film to win the top 5 awards. Best Film, Director, Screenwriting, Best […]
