Vintage 1950’s Hopalong Cassidy Lunch Box

Hopalong Cassidy is a character created by writer Clarence E. Mulford and debuted in films 1935. Cassidy was played by William Boyd in films, produced 1935 to 1948 and the incredibly successful 1950’s television series. The show was among the 7 most popular on TV 1952-1954 . Hopalong was offered as a Western hero, loved by children and adults as he fought for Western justice. Hopalong Cassidy was nominated by the A.F.I. as one of the 100 greatest western heroes. Every week the television show followed the same format. Our hero would right wrongs, save school marms in distress and catch the bad guys. Children madly snapped up souvenir “Hoppy,” cowboy hats, six shooters, lunch boxes and endless other items of their hero. Vintage Jack Nicholson Autographed Joker Photo

Jack Napier, also known as the “Joker” is a fictional antagonist of the 1989 superhero film “Batman”, directed by Tim Burton. Portrayed by Jack Nicholson, the character was based on the supervillain “The Joker.” Nicholson’s “Joker” is in top form as he kills the gangland boss and wages war on Batman. The film won the top prize at the Venice Film Festival. His colorful, jovial and nutty clown proved to be a winner with audiences around the world. Jack’s “Joker” stole the show. His iconic turn remained true to the comic book character, dazzling the critics. Despite being the super villain, audiences couldn’t help but laugh at his well-timed puns, hilarious one-liners and lively antics. Nicholson’s performance was realistic, crazy, and psychotic just as the “Joker” was written. At it’s release the film was the 5th highest grossing film in history. Vintage Tom Mix Silent Film Tobacco Trade Card

Responding to requests for vintage tobacco trade cards, My Forever Treasures is offering a beautiful 100 year old Tom Mix treasure. Tom Mix was an American film actor and the star of many early western movies from 1909 to 1935. 291 films in total and all but 9 of which were silent movies. He was Hollywood’s first western star and helped define the genre as it emerged in the early days of cinema. In 1905, Mix rode with President Theodore Roosevelt’s inaugural parade. He began his film career in a short 1909 film called “The Cowboy Millionaire.” In 1910, he appeared as himself in a documentary film “Ranch Life in the Great Southwest,” in which he displayed his skills as a cattle wrangler. The film was a success and Mix became an early motion picture star. He performed in more than 100 films for the Selig Polyscope Co. Tom Mix made more than 100 films throughout the 1920’s. These were action-oriented. Mix did his own stunts. Heroes and villains were sharply defined and a clean-cut cowboy(Tom Mix) always saved the day. Vintage Sonny and Cher Wild On The Beach Lobby Card 1965

“Wild On The Beach” 1965, was a beach party movie notable for the music acts showcased on screen. Especially, the film debut of Sonny and Cher. They played themselves and received fourth billing. “Wild On The Beach” promised 11 Big Beat Songs and the fun that’s certain when guys and gals rent the same beach house. Backed by the group The Astronauts, Sonny and Cher sang “It’s Gonna Rain,” written by Sonny.This was producer/director Maury Dexter’s 3rd teen flick & 2nd effort to imitate AIP’s “Beach Party” Formula. A rare black & white teen film. The movie was promoted as a standard beach party film with posters showing girls in bikinis & a title song with lyrics about “two steps down to the nearest wave.” However, no one in the cast actually wore swimsuits nor did they do anything but walk fully clothed on the beach. The only surfing was a few random inserts of extras on surfboards. Starring, in his own, “The Roy Rogers Show.” In 1947, he married Dale Evans, and she co-starred on his show. “Boy Meets Girl,” is a 1938, Screwball comedy film, starring James Cagney, Marie Wilson and Pat O’Brien. James Cagney and Pat O’Brien give Hollywood an affectionate chuck under the chin (and a comic kick in the butt) in this film making spoof based on the same-titled 669-performance Broadway hit by Bella and Samuel Spewack (My Favorite Wife, Kiss Me, Kate) and zestfully directed by Lloyd Bacon (42nd Street).
