Vintage Brian Jones Rolling Stone Magazine Cover Issue August 9 1969

My Forever Treasures opens our vintage Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Icon Eye Candy Vault. Pleased to offer our only Brian Jones Treasure. The Brian Jones passing as documented in the August 9, 1969 Rolling Stones Magazine Cover Story remains one of Rock and Roll’s most historic tragedies. He was an English musician, best known as founder and the original leader of The Rolling Stones. Initially a slide guitarist, Jones would go on to play a wide variety of instruments on Rolling Stones recordings and in concerts. He was prolific as a rhythm and lead guitar player, also excelled at various keyboard instruments such as piano and organ, marimba, harmonica, sitar, wind instruments such as recorder, saxophone, oboe and numerous others. His aptitude for playing a variety of instruments is evident on the albums “Aftermath” (1966) “Between The Buttons”(1967) and “Their Satanic Majesties Request” (1967).Brian played harmonica on “Not Fade Away” (1964), sitar on “Painted Black” recorder on “Ruby Tuesday” and marimba on “Under My Thumb.” On May 2, 1962 Jones placed an advertisement in Soho’s Jazz News, inviting musicians to audition for his new R. & B. group. This, 1971 rarity is 20″ x 30.” From, 1970-1974 he designed, 4 posters for the Stones. Pasche, was commissioned by Mick Jagger, to create The Rolling Stones Logo. His,”Lips” and “Tongue” logo designs, are iconic and recognized around the world. Even, his freelance art designs, for Paul McCartney, The Who, and Bowie are legendary. John Pasche, is one of the best. Ask, Mick. The, 1971 U.K.Tour, was the Stones first, in their homeland since 1966. Brian Jones, was on the 1966 shows, Mick Taylor on these. Both,tours were ages ago. Rolling Stones “Exile on Main Street” American Tour Souvenir Program 1972 + Early Magazine, Rolling Stones Press Kit

Reviewers said, “This Rolling Stones Tour, was forever part of Rock and Roll Legend.” They, all praised the Shows, as a “Benchmark of an ERA.” Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor electrified every audience non-stop.:) The tour began, soon after the Stones, released “Exile on Main Street.” Off stage, violence followed the group, from city to city. The first,show in Vancouver, had 31 policeman injured, as 3,000 fans tried to crash the concert. In Tucson, 2,000 fans without tickets caused havoc. 80, were arrested in Houston. Montreal, had 3,000 riot, blowing up the Stone’s Equipment Truck as well. Each show, was an ultimate event. Mick, Keith and the Lads, were BRILLIANT.:) To temper, the audience’s mood, Mick Jagger offered a friendly fun show, free of any signature demons. The Rolling Stones 1972 Tour of America Lithograph “Tumblin’ Dice” Winterland Shows

The Rolling Stones 1972 Tour of America, delivered “The Greatest R. & R. Band of All Time,” At Their Best. This tour supported their # 1 Album, “Exile on Main Street.” The Winterland Shows, were the 3rd city for the Stones. Stevie Wonder, with his current hit song “Superstition,” opened the shows. This tour, exposed Stevie to a broader rock audience. He shined. The audience loved him. The Rolling Stones, 21 song set overwhelmed their fans. Mick and his mates, opened with “Honky Tonk Women.” “Gimme Shelter,” “Tumbling Dice” & “Brown Sugar” followed. Stevie Wonder, joined them, for the “Satisfaction” Encore. These San Francisco Shows, were highlights of this tour. The lithograph of these Winterland Shows was the producer, Bill Graham’s idea.:) Graham, called these the “Tumblin’ Dice” Shows. Using, their hit song as the theme. Featuring the DICE, David Singer, Bill’s favorite poster artist from 1969-71, created this iconic image. Critics and fans agree. The Rolling Stones are the Greatest R. & R. Band of All Time. The group was formed, in 1962-3 by multi-instrumentalist Brian Jones and keyboardist Ian Stewart. The Stones, were Mick Jagger, lead singer, Keith Richards lead guitarist, Bill Wyman bass player and Charlie Watts drummer. All members, except drummer Charlie Watts sang Backup Vocals. Ian Stewart, was dropped from the group in 1963. Brian Jones, was the most versatile in the band. He played guitar, keyboards, harmonica, bass, saxophone, sitar on “Painted Black,” and the marimbas on, “Symphony for the Devil.” Brian, wanted the Rolling Stones to be a cover blues band. A great musician, but a weak songwriter, Brian found himself, with no defined place in the band. Mick and Keith, were outstanding songwriters and ultimately, the Rolling Stones became Their Band. From the start, there were tremendous problems. Brian’s hard feelings, led to his overwhelming drug addiction. The tension, and animosity within the Rolling Stones, were Brian Jones responsibility. Rolling Stones Tattoo You Tour 1981 Backstage Pass Sun Devil Stadium

With 7 albums, on the 1981 charts, this was one of the Rolling Stones, most successful tours. Their “Tattoo You” tour set records at every stop. Sun Devil Stadium, had 75,000 in attendance. They paid $1.3 million to see the “Greatest Rock Band of All Time.” We are offering a prized, Rolling Stones Band Photo backstage pass to this memorable concert. Backstage passes were limited, due to Keith Richards recovering from drug issues. His recovery was evident. Keith was brilliant the entire show show. The Stones 24 song set list, opened with “Under My Thumb,” and included classics “Let’s Spend The Night Together,” “Time Is On My Side,” “Waiting On A Friend,” “Tumbling Dice,” “Honky Tonk Woman,” “Brown Sugar,” and closing with “Jumping Jack Flash.” Reviewers and fans agreed, Mick and the band were overwhelming with their “Satisfaction” encore offering The Stones, at their best.
