Casper The Friendly Ghost is a fictional character, and the protagonist of the Famous Studios theatrical animated cartoon series of the same name. He is a pleasant and personable ghost. Casper has no desire to scare, but prefers to make friends. This animated icon, appeared in cartoons, comics, movies and more recently video games. Fans have enjoyed Casper’s friends – Wendy the Witch, Hot Stuff the Devil, Lil Audrey, cuter than ever. Beware of the others, and that includes Spookey, Scarey and Stinkie – Ghosts one and all.
Casper is a cute Ghost/child who lives with adult Ghosts in a haunted house. The stories usually have Casper escaping the afterlife of a regular ghost because he finds scaring people year after year can be tiresome. Although he tries to find friends, he scares almost everyone. Finally he finds a (cute little) friend, who he scares from some sort of fate. This leads to Casper’s acceptance by those who are initially scared of this delightful protagonist. Children and adults have enjoyed Casper’s antics for 80 years.
