Vintage Fats Domino Autographed Publicity Photo

Fats Domino, was an American singer, songwriter and pianist. Domino’s, early signature crowd favorite, was his stomping New Orleans barrel house piano style. He, pioneered the Rock ‘n’ Roll Sound, of the 1950’s. This, early rock & roller, had a boogie piano. It,enabled Fats, to become the 1st black original innovator, to crossover to Billboard’s Pop Charts. Domino classics “Ain’t That A Shame,” and 5 million selling record “Blueberry Hill,” paved the way for Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley. In, the 1950’s and early 1960’s, Fats Domino released 3 dozen hits. His, record sales, were only surpassed by Elvis.   Other artists, borrowed from Domino’s heavily rhythmic danceable style of R. & B. Little Richard, said “Fats, could make a piano talk.” By, the late 1950’s, this “Fatman,” had more than 2 dozen gold records, including “Blue Monday,” “I Want To Walk You Home,” “Whole Lotta Lovin” and “One Night.” “One Night,” written by Dave Bartholomew, his producer and co-writing partner, was also a hit for Elvis Presley. Breakfast, cereals and drinks, have found premiums,to be a very successful form of advertising. Premiums, are promotional items such as toys, collectibles, souvenirs or household products. They, are linked to the breakfast product. These, gifts often require box tops, labels or proof of purchases.The more expensive premiums, require the most proof. The, 3 types of premiums, include gift with purchase, proof of purchases and in-or-on purchase packages. Many, proofs of purchases, had the consumer, receiving the most valuable premium. Both, Wheaties and Ovaltine, championed premiums desired, by their youngest market.   Wheaties, is an American breakfast cereal, primarily made of wheat and bran. This, mixture is baked into flakes. Wheaties, has been a General Mills breakfast cereal, since 1922. It, was among the first offering a ready to eat cereal. The, perfect alternative to oatmeal and other cooked favorites. General Mills, offered Wheaties Premiums, as a successful formula for advertising. They, realized these “fun” gifts, strengthened consumer relationships and encouraged repeat business.   Percy L.Crosby, created cartoon character “Skippy,” a rambunctious 12 year old 5th grader. This, 1971 rarity is 20″ x 30.” From, 1970-1974 he designed, 4 posters for the Stones.   Pasche, was commissioned by Mick Jagger, to create The Rolling Stones Logo. His,”Lips” and “Tongue” logo designs, are iconic and recognized around the world. Even, his freelance art designs, for Paul McCartney, The Who, and Bowie are legendary. The success, of 1920’s silent films and 1930’s “talkies,” had America celebrating, it’s motion picture idols. Fans, couldn’t get enough, movie tobacco trade cards, glossy arcade photos, or screen star writing tablets. These, incredible writing souvenirs, feature a color lithograph print of each famous actor. Richard Bartelmess, 1920’s silent film superstar. 1930’s legends, Betty Grable and Spencer Tracy, complete our movie star tablet trio. Wow.   Richard Barthemless, was a silent film legend. Roy Rogers, was an American singer and actor. One, of the most popular Western Stars, of his era. Known, as “King of the Singing Cowboys,” Roy, appeared in more than 100 films, and numerous radio and television episodes.”The Roy Rogers Show,” was a 1950’s, television favorite. After, winning a 1938 Republic Films, “Singing Cowboy Contest,” he was signed, to a movie contract. Republic, changed his name, from Leonard Slye, to Roy Rogers. His, appearance in their, “Under Western Stars,” created America’s newest matinee idol. “Billy the Kid Returns,” “The Arizona Kid,” and “Young Buffalo Bill,” secured Rogers place, as a top star.   A supporting role, in John Wayne’s classic, 1940’s “Dark Command,” set the stage, for super stardom. He became, one of the most distinguished actors, of both stage and screen. Muni, was one of the few screen actors, given the privilege of choosing, which film roles he wanted.
