The Jacksons are a group founded by their father Joe Jackson in 1965. As The Jackson 5, they consisted of Michael, Marlon, and older brothers Jackie, Tito and Jermaine. In 1968 they signed with Motown, and were the first group to debut with four consecutive number one hits, with the songs “I Want You Back,” “A.B.C.,” “The Love You Save” and “I’ll Be There.” 3 of these songs have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They also achieved 16 top 40 hits.
 
In 1976 Jermaine was replaced by Randy. They’ve sold more than 100 records world-wide. They performed as the Jacksons from 1976-1981, winning a Best Vocal Group Award as well. The success of their four Jackson 5 Albums had them replacing The Supremes as Motown’s Best-Selling Group.
 
Next they all released solo albums. Michael Jackson became the ultimate solo superstar. He released three record shattering albums. “Off the Wall,” “Triumph” and “THRILLER.” “Thriller” went on to become the best-selling album of all time. The albums # 1 hit songs “Beat It” and “Billie Jean” were pop anthems. Michael became the ultimate POP STAR. Thank you Joe Jackson and all the fans. Amen.
