My Forever Treasures is responding to requests for vintage 1950’s and 1960’s television memorabilia. Pleased to offer a vintage quartet. We begin with 1960’s resident neurosurgeon Ben Casey. The Ben Casey Show ran 1961-1966 and is considered a top 10 great Medical Show. On a list behind # 1 “E.R.” “Home” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Vince Edwards played the surly combative neurosurgeon. Always facing controversial subjects in a metropolitan hospital. He never showed restraint. Dr. Casey would say to nurses, “What do you use for brains!” If a patient needed to deal with their condition or die. Ben Casey was the first doctor to tell them the truth! This medical heart throb fought with his superiors.
Ahead of his time. Vince Edwards was nominated for a 1962 Emmy Award for Best Leading Actor in a Drama Series. His superior Dr. Zorba warned him, “Your need to always be right, will be your undoing Ben Casey.” Zorba was wrong for all 6 years the series ran. Winning it’s time slot and creating demand for endless merchandising. Our Ben Casey Overnight Case, can now be yours. Perfect for a trip down memory lane. Room for pajamas, yoga outfit, bathing suit, blow dryer, an energy bar, tooth brush, & your iphone. K.O. photo of the young doctor on the side. Child’s full size 16″ x 9″ x 5″ & a zipper to keep everything safe.
The Mickey Mouse Club with the iconic Mouseketeers, is Walt Disney’s creation. It’s first airing in 1955, ran through the 1959 season. The Mouseketeers appeared intermittently in various editions to 1994. The show featured teenagers in singing, dancing and informative segments. During Mickey Mouse’s animated segments, Walt Disney was Mickey’s voice, as he was theatrically from the 1928 to 1947. Annette Funicello was the most popular member of the original cast. Cubby, Jay Jay & Bean Blossom not so much! The show was offered with daily themes. Monday was Music Day, Tuesday was Guest Day, Wed. was Anything Can Happen Day, & so on.
Paul Williams the singer songwriter of “We’ve Only Just Begun” & “Evergreen” and future screen actress Candace Bergman were among the thousands who auditioned and turned down. Our museum quality Micky Mouse Club Mousketeers Wallet is the image used for the original show’s title. Vintage Walt Disney memorabilia that works. The 1989-1994 New Mickey Mouse Club Cast, included Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling. Amazing! Disney knows how to cast it’s shows. Amen.
