The Copacabana Nightclub, N.Y.C. was considered, the Greatest Nightclub of All Time. From, the late 1940’s to 1973, The Copa Presented the “Entertainment Cream of the Crop.” Virtually, every star from this period, Performed on the Copacabana Stage. Every show, was an event.
It was an honor to record an album, “Live at the Copa.” The Supremes, Sam Cooke, The Temptations, Bobby Darin and Marvin Gaye, have all recorded very successful “Live at the Copa” Albums.
Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, The Supremes, Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Cooke made their N.Y.C. Debut at the Copa. The Copacabana Chorus Girls, was a major attraction. They, wore sexy mink bras and panties, with fruited turbans on top. A Copa Show Calendar, would include all the previously named. + Tony Bennett, Peggy, Ella, Lena & The Four Tops. Every week, The Copa was # 1.

Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, became the most successful Comedy Team of All Time. Together in 1946, Martin & Lewis developed the perfect comedy combination. Dean, the classy crooner would sing. Jerry, was the busboy /clown, who constantly interrupted Dean. The audience, loved Jerry’s innocent slapstick. Their, great success was because, they were the First Comedy Team to have Fun Together. They enjoyed each other, and the audience couldn’t adore them more.
Martin and Lewis, made their 1950 N.Y. Debut, at the Copacabana. They set Copa box office records. Everywhere, they performed, it was always S.R.O. They, performed on the Very First Ed Sullivan television show. Dean & Jerry, had their own radio show, and a big movie contract. Their popularity, made Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, the highest paid act in show business. Dean had Hit Records and Jerry was considered, a Genius in France. Yet, in 1956, exactly 10 years after they got together, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis performed their Final Show. = On The Copacabana Stage.
