PRODUCT DESCRIPTION MIKE NICHOLS AND ELAINE MAY met in the late 1950’s at (the pre-Second City) COMPASS PLAYERS in CHICAGO. Here they combined their improvE skills to form the duo who took the comedy world by storm. Originally Shelley Berman was part of their trio,  Mike and Elaine decided two would  work better for the comedy pieces.  Nichols and May used advanced improvisational skills to offer an intellectual edge to their political and social satire. “AN EVENING WITH MIKE NICHOLS AND ELAINE MAY” showcased their inspired comedic skits. The show’s album, won them a GRAMMY FOR COMEDY ALBUM OF THE YEAR. NICHOLS AND MAY’S comedy was such an elevated level of humor, their spot at the top has never been duplicated. They split up at the peak of their collaborations. MIKE NICHOLS went on to be a very successful film and Broadway director. The Purple Monster is an alien from Mars, who crash lands on earth with his henchmen. A noted astronomer encounters them. Turning into a ghost,  gases that kill instantly, mind control & booby trapped empty parking lots enable  the Martian’s  evil deeds.  The quest for the astronomer’s  spaceship design plans .is the Martian’s  addiction.  The Purple Monster wants a round trip deal.  Return to Mars  and back to Invade Earth !! Although the film is in black  & white, the lobby card is  a more Martian-like blue, black & white.. Available for sci-fi lovers only.This Purple Monster can assume the form of any human. Great original 1940’s sco-fi artwork.  Hang this lobby card on your wall and it will turn into Martian Eye Candy.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Gold Metallic Band around the top.  Jack Nadel Inc. Dick Van Dyke is an accomplished artist. The caricature of the cast was drawn by him.  The Dick Van Dyke Show ran from 1961-1966.  2 episodes are included among television situation comedy’s top 15 best . All the cast’s characters are included. Dick Van Dyke as Rob Petrie a TV comedy writer. Mary Tyler Moore is Laura, his wife. Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie were comedy writers who were  Rob’s co-workers. Richard  Deacon is producer of the television show where they are writers. Larry Mathews is Rob & Laura’s son. Carl Reiner created the  Dick Van Dyke Show and also played the star of the television show  where they all worked. Winners of 15 Emmy Awards. The Dick Van Dyke Show served as the gold standard for the situation comedies that would follow. EXTREMELY RARE PROMOTIONAL ITEM because it was only given as personal gifts to cast, crew and guest stars. Dick used this drawing of him, for his  business logo, by the TV show credits, very rare.
