Groucho Marx, is considered one of the best American comedians of the modern era. He, achieved great success in film, on stage, radio, television and music as well. Woody Allen said, “Groucho Marx, was the greatest comedian this country has ever produced.” He and his brothers, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo were vaudeville superstars. They created Broadway shows, which they turned into very successful films. As a serious guitar player, he admired the Beatles, met John Lennon and attended their show at the Hollywood Bowl. Elton John and Queen had a mutual admiration relationship with Groucho as well.
