Vintage Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine Dual Signed “You Gotta Stay Happy” 1948 Studio Publicity Photo

“You Gotta Stay Happy,’ is a 1948 American Romantic Comedy, starring Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine. This movie stars 2 Golden Age of Hollywood Superstars. Both Stewart and Fontaine won early 1940’s Best Actor and Best Actress Academy Awards. Our clients have requested something special, from this magical cinema period. “You Gotta Stay Happy, is an especially wacky romantic comedy. There’s a screwball quality, and physical humor offering a sentimental mismatched love story. Joan Fontaine, is a wealthy heiress. Jimmy Stewart, is an army-air force veteran, making it on a shoe-string. Both stars shine in this film.   He’s trying to start-up an air freight business. She’s trying to escape a hasty 6th engagement turned into marriage. The night of her New York hotel honeymoon, she escapes to Stewart’s adjoining room. Jimmy saves the day. But, there are embezzlers, a cigar-smoking chimpanzee, a sleeping pill and enough twists and comical turns to have you guessing how this romp will end. It will end with our dual signed vintage Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine autographed “You Gotta Stay Happy” treasure, framed on your wall.   My Forever Treasures offers this Golden Age of Hollywood autographed prize as Vintage Eye Candy. There’s […]

Vintage 1950s Metal Mechanical Strato Bank and Moon Galactic Theme Toy Metallic Blue Green Color

The Strato Bank is considered the memorabilia collector’s ultimate metal toy bank. The Duro Mold Mfg. Co. Detroit, Mich. created this “Shoot the Moon” Masterpiece. In the early 1950’s, the Strato was manufactured during the “Space Age Race.” Near 70 years later, it’s popularity continues to grow. The key to the Strato’s success, is attributed to the fact that this bank is FUN! It’s equipped with a rocket ship, that launches a plane & coin, toward outer space into the moon’s opening. The metallic green color will have you believe you’re a sci-fi banker.   This terrestrial treat, measures 8″ x 3″ x 2.” The decals on the side say, Merchants & Marine Bank. Moss Point, Miss. and Pascagoula, Miss. These banks believed their clients deserved more than a wallet calendar. Your Strato will fire coins into the moon’s crevasse. It never misses. Your friends and family will be saying wow-I-said-wow! = You deserve this bank. Everyone does. This Strato comes with a wow-I-said-wow guarantee.   Contact us if you’re interested in purchasing this item. Thank you!

Vintage 6 Day Bike Race Souvenir Pennant Hand Painted Very Old

My Forever Treasures goes back in time to offer our bicycle pennant treasure. The 6 Day Bike Race was the rage in 1870’s Britain. Europeans loved the drama of the endless cycling. This was before automobiles. The public wanted to see a bicycle racer show he was faster than a hound, horse or locomotive. This was also before baseball, basketball & football. 6 continuous days of non-stop riding, put the fans in a frenzy. By 1900, it’s popularity resulted in professional bicycle race winners earning as much as a $1,000 purse or more.   Europe’s successful Berlin 6-Day Bike Race, and endless others had 6-Day Races thriving in the U.S. The Sixers filled arenas in Madison Square Garden, Atlantic City, Boston, Chicago and on. The winner, was the racer who rode the most laps/miles in the specified time.Non-stop racing with as little sleep as necessary had the bike riders employing trainers like in boxing to keep them going. Professional bike riders raced in sprints, chases and elimination rounds as well as the most laps/distance. The best won an unheard of $5,000.   The Sixers brought overwhelming physical demand of the Bike Riders. As little sleep as possible was the call of […]

Vintage Sonny and Cher Wild On The Beach Lobby Card 1965

“Wild On The Beach” 1965, was a beach party movie notable for the music acts showcased on screen. Especially, the film debut of Sonny and Cher. They played themselves and received fourth billing. “Wild On The Beach” promised 11 Big Beat Songs and the fun that’s certain when guys and gals rent the same beach house. Backed by the group The Astronauts, Sonny and Cher sang “It’s Gonna Rain,” written by Sonny. This was producer/director Maury Dexter’s 3rd teen flick & 2nd effort to imitate AIP’s “Beach Party” Formula. A rare black & white teen film.   The movie was promoted as a standard beach party film with posters showing girls in bikinis & a title song with lyrics about “two steps down to the nearest wave.” However, no one in the cast actually wore swimsuits nor did they do anything but walk fully clothed on the beach. The only surfing was a few random inserts of extras on surfboards. Backed by the Astronauts Sonny & Cher sang his original but forgettable “It’s Gonna Rain.” All the songs are regrettable including the Astronauts “Pyramid Stomp.”   With too much plot and nothing resolved. Even, lovable Sonny and Cher probably wish they […]

The Ben Casey Show ran 1961-1966 and is considered a top 10 great Medical Show. On a list behind # 1 “E.R.” “Home” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Vince Edwards played the surly combative neurosurgeon. Always facing controversial subjects in a metropolitan hospital. He never showed restraint. Dr. Casey would say to nurses, “What do you use for brains!” If a patient needed to deal with their condition or die. Ben Casey was the first doctor to tell them the truth! This medical heart throb fought with his superiors.   Ahead of his time. Vince Edwards was nominated for a 1962 Emmy Award for Best Leading Actor in a Drama Series. His superior Dr. Zorba warned him, “Your need to always be right, will be your undoing Ben Casey.” Zorba was wrong for all 6 years the series ran.
