Vintage Herman Munster Remco 1964 Munsters Family Figure

The Munsters is an American sitcom depicting the home life of a family of benign monsters. Herman is the head-of-the-household. He is a Frankenstein monster type. In 1965 the show was nominated for a Golden Globe. The series was a satire of both traditional monster movies and the wholesome family fare of the era… It was produced by those who created “Leave It To Beaver.” It ran concurrently w. the similar macabre themed “The Addams Family,” but fared much better in the ratings. Instead of animation, a live version proved to be the ideal novel formula.The characters would be supernatural creatures. The show followed the familiar family sitcom formula of the era. The well meaning father, the nurturing mother, the eccentric well meaning relative, the naive teenager and the precocious child. The series offered customized monster possessions, such as a dragster made out of a coffin. The monster/normal life theme was so popular, it’s still loved today, by children and adults more than 50 years later. Herman Munster’s Frankenstein look and demeanor became the show’s fan favorite. Captain Kangaroo Vintage Large Rubber Squeak Toy Doll Figure Early Television Memorabilia

Captain Kangaroo is an American children’s television series that aired Oct.3, 1955 until Dec.8, 1984. This children’s program, was hosted by Captain Kangaroo (Bob Keeshan.) The show was based on the warm relationship between grandparents and children. The Captain K.Show had a loose structure, built around life in the “Treasure House.” This is where The Captain would tell stories, meet guests and indulge in silly skits with regular characters (including cartoon character “Tom Terrific.” Captain Kangaroo’s 24 year run has only been surpassed by Sesame Street. Our vintage television memorabilia collectors have requested a toy. We’re pleased to offer this Captain Kangaroo Treasure. He published 14 novels, 3 short story collections, 5 plays and 5 works of non-fiction, with further collections being published after his death. Vintage 1980’s Treasures has My Forever Treasures offering rare venue posters. The Talking Heads at The Greek Theater & Bow Wow Wow at The Roxy are 1980’s favorites. The Talking Heads was an American rock band founded in 1975 in N.Y.C. and performed until 1991. The band featured former art students David Byrne (lead vocal & guitar) Chris Franz (drums) Tina Weymouth (bass) and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar.) They were one of the most critically acclaimed bands of the 1980’s. Talking Heads helped to pioneer new wave music by integrating elements of punk, art rock, and world music with avant-garde sensibilities and an anxious clean-cut look. Their debut album in 1977 received positive reviews and they subsequently collaborated w. producer Brian Eno on a trio of experimental and critically acclaimed releases.
